“During the second weekend in May it was time for the big Teva Outdoor Games in Val Sessia.
It’s a such good event, lots of different races like a sky race, downhill race, canyoning, boldering and the best one for sure for me ………white water kayaking.
The kayakers do the team race on the Friday and after that, four further individual races, which are the marathon race, sprint, slalom and kayakcross.

I would say this event is one of the best on the world, bloody good kayaking, beautiful countryside, lots of nice people and three different rivers where the extreme race is held.
This year I was finally really successful, we got third place for Czech Republic for the team race and I won a long race on the Egua River ahead of Jacubos Stenglein, last years winner and third place for Pat Keller from US.
The second day was the slalom and sprint; I came fifth during the slalom and during sprint I had bloody good lines during final run and won this element too.

During the kayakcross I made the semi-final and that meant I won the Teva Extreme Games overall.
So to celebrate, on the Monday after competition I went with Pat Keller and Sam to the Devils Slide on the lower Sorba, which is one of the most cool looking gorges I have ever seen.

PS. A great vid from LVM one too and worth watching as all of them are but this one is relevant due to it's section on the Devil's Slide, towards the end but the whole thing's well worth watching.
