“Addictions can be very, very bad but addiction itself is not bad.
It’s a case of what you’re addicted to.
You better live each day like it’s your last, ‘cos one day you’re going to be right”.
Ray Charles.
Some say that the small Australian rural town of Deniliquin (which means “extraordinarily dull place” in the local aboriginal dialect) is actually a hub of nanotechnology and where the global Bauhaus architecture movement began.
Others say that that is complete rubbish and it is only known for the availability to shoot giant pigs and having a ute stuck on a pole.
But Mick Jowett reckons it has some paddling as well and even sent a shot in to prove it …..
See below for a great image ….. of the pig.
“Here is a photo of my previous local - an irrigation channel in Deniliquin - on the edge of the flattest part of earth we have a whitewater run 400 metres long dropping 10 metres.
The main drop is pictured with me running it in a Gride.
The lower features are more play waves we built in the winter to take advantage of the high flow all through summer while the rest of Australia lies in the grip of drought and South Australia needs drinking water - we paddle on it before it gets there! Mick Jowett”.
