Few words. Much action.
“Hello guys, just wanna send you one more picture from last action I did two days ago Tree Trunk Gorge, one of the hardest part in NZ ever.
I run like 3rd guy in the world and this river is in middle of nowhere, everybody know about this gorge but nobody talk about it”. Honza
So starts a profile in pics not words. The following is a showcase of HL and his crew preparing for their Alaknanda expedition in late 2006. Mainly Norway and mainly airborne.

Honza comes from Pardubice, Czech Republic and as well as being a majot first descent paddler, expeditioner, he’s also a fierce competitor with results like a 1st Teva games 2008 and 2nd Nissan Outdoor games 2007.
Honza is a pretty cool sounding name but his nickname is Zajic which means Rabbit, a laudable little creature but not one known for extreme bravery, especially in moving water, the history behind this nick-name may remain in the mists of time and it’s probably better left this way.
He’s only afraid of not having enough money for ice cream and having accidents on the water and part from that believes that we only live once and should go hard. And he does ….

Now here’s a year or so to remember, HL dropping a line to say hi and to wrap what he’s been up to, hope he’s got his frequent flier miles happening ….

How are you doing and hope all good and all goes smooth.
It’s been a while when I send it email to you or some new stuff, it has not been cause I was just lazy but had interesting time this year. Lots of thing happened.
I was training and paddling a lot on white water. I stopped freestyle paddling and tried to do well in extreme races which have become really popular around the world. I had success in 2008 and 2009 and I won biggest festival in Europe, the Teva Extreme Games in Italy 2008, I won Super Sprint in Extreme Games this year, probably the hardest race that I've ever done, came 3th on Gorge Games in Oregon last year and 4th in Teva games in Vail Colorado........
I did some expeditions as well, probably the biggest one and most challenging was to Ethiopia when we tried to made a first descent of a river in the middle of rain forest. We finally had to quit the trip half way and had to leave all stuff on the bank of river and walk out of jungle and save our lives, definitely strong story, we made a movie, which was in national TV in Czech and Slovakia, still not English version!
