Have a look at Paula Constant's expedition accross North Africa on foot and with camels. It is simply a huge trip that's not completed yet, it will be round 2 at some stage when some of the problems in the field abate, like landmines, insurections and chronic corruption .... those sorts of things.

It was great to be involved with Luke Gosling’s Timor Challenge Adventure race which was designed to help the fledgling country. Teams raced across the island in an adventure race with locals and overseas teams adding to the experience for the best of causes. Luke’s tireless efforts resulted in his earning an OAM medal from the Australian government and the Americans chipped in a frigate to keep things honest. Not exactly a Dirtbag anything but some pics are in that section.
